Fall is here…time to snuggle up with a cupful of comfort.  But what if you couldn’t afford any?  What if you couldn’t afford to pay the heat or buy food to survive let alone give you comfort?  Unfortunately many people locally and abroad are facing that scenario.  That is one reason I am proud to be sponsoring an on-line auction event to support the Georgetown Bread Basket.  This auction was put together by a community of local hand-made artists, and takes place September 25-30.  Please go check it out and give your support.  I’ve donated a blue crystal bracelet and earring set, and have been warned by the organizers that they’ll be placing their custom orders if they don’t get it   It’s just one of the many ways I enjoy supporting my local community 🙂

It’s finally looking like Spring in Southern Ontario, and Mother’s Day is just around the corner.  In celebration of the women in my life and my community, and in the beauty I have found within and wish to inspire in others, I have created a special event that will take place this Saturday, May 3rd at my home in Glen Williams.  Whether you’re shopping for your mom, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, friend, or for yourself, I’m sure you’ll find something that calls to you at this event.  Daniela from Salon Estilo will be ready to freshen up your make-up or give you a whole new look.  Steve  of Change Your Life Photography will have his camera raring to take some beautiful shots – don’t forget to ask him about his special photography packages and purchase a gift certificate for that someone special.   My dear friend Kelly will be bringing her magic hands for chair massages and selling her Uniquely Pure body potions – very magical! (PAMPERING!).   My friend Beatrice will be there with some Arbonne products as well – this woman knows how to strategize and maximize your shopping experience…it’s all about creating awareness!  Want to fill your home with wonderful Spring scents – see what Shantel has to offer with Scentsy.   And I can’t forget to mention Bonnie Glass with her beautiful Bonnie Glass Original Bohemian Designs (I have one of her pieces and LOVE it!) and Annette’s TanteQ Vintage Fashion and accessories.   I will be displaying my inventory (lots of new stuff being added this week) and offering gift certificates toward the purchase of any Ridgeview Designs products.  Enter your name in a draw for a beautiful piece of jewelry (or set) and $25.00 gift certificate.   I believe other vendors may have draws as well.

What’s more – we are collecting cash donations in support of Links2Care – Transitional Housing Program,  a local charity program that combats homelessness by providing a bridge accommodation along with the necessary supports to help stabilize clients’ lives as they work toward securing a permanent home, self-sufficiently.

I am so excited to be offering this opportunity for myself and the other vendors to be seen and share with the local community.  Are you feeling it?  I certainly am!
